At Westland Drywall Renovation, we use professional drywall materials and industry-standard installation techniques to help create smooth, durable walls and ceilings. Our drywall services may include gypsum wallboard installation, moisture-resistant and Type X fire-resistant drywall, metal or wood framing, drywall screws, joint tape, joint compound, corner bead, and professional sanding and finishing. Proper drywall work also involves accurate measuring and cutting, secure fastening, taping and mudding seams, applying finish coats, and preparing surfaces for primer and paint. We focus on proper material selection, clean workmanship, and attention to detail for residential and commercial projects in Westland, Michigan, and surrounding communities. 1. Drywall made with recycled materials

Some gypsum boards use recycled paper and recycled or synthetic gypsum. For example, American Gypsum reports using 100% recycled-content face and back paper.

2. Low-VOC joint compound

Joint compound is used to fill seams and cover screw heads. Products certified for low chemical emissions, such as certain GREENGUARD Gold-certified compounds, can help support better indoor air quality.

3. Moisture- and mold-resistant drywall

Specialized gypsum panels can be appropriate for certain moisture-prone areas. They must be selected for the location and used with proper moisture control; they do not eliminate mold problems on their own.

4. Dust-control sanding methods

Dust-extraction sanding tools, vacuum collection, and careful cleanup can reduce airborne drywall dust during repairs and renovations.
